- Released surveillance images show an armed, masked individual tampering with Guthrie's front-door camera the morning she vanished, and a black glove was recovered about a mile and a half from the home.
- The authorities detained and later released a man who was questioned in the probe, while urging the public to call 1-800-CALL-FBI and offering a $50,000 reward.
- The FBI is working with private-sector partners to recover residual video while investigators pursue leads, including a letter reported to demand a single bitcoin, according to media reports.
