FBI rescues 11-year-old allegedly taken across state lines by man accused of online solicitation
FBI agents rescued the child after surveillance linked the suspect to an online solicitation and interstate abduction, police said.
FBI agents rescued an 11-year-old victim and arrested 26-year-old Dylan Osborne at a Tennessee apartment following an investigation into online child solicitation, according to authorities.
The investigation began when the FBI Cleveland Field Office notified Nashville authorities that Osborne allegedly solicited the child online; Osborne is accused of transporting the victim from Willard, Ohio, to Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
During surveillance on Oct. 25, agents spotted Osborne making a sexual advance on the child, prompting them to enter the apartment, arrest the suspect, and rescue the victim.
Authorities charged Osborne with rape of a child, and he is being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center while potentially facing additional federal and Ohio state charges.
According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, Osborne has a court date scheduled for Nov. 30 to address the pending charges against him.
