The Welsh Government will increase upfront payments to farmers and give them more time to spread slurry and manure, following a summer of difficult conditions for the sector. The advance payment rate available under the General Tier of the Sustainable Farming Scheme and the Basic Payment Scheme will increase from 70% to 80%.
