In Deurningen, Twente, a farmers' protest involving tractors against the cabinet's nitrogen plans is taking place on Wednesday. According to a municipal spokesperson, approximately 150 vehicles are gathered on Vliegveldstraat. The bridge over the A1 is blocked as a result, but cyclists and emergency services should be able to pass, the spokesperson added.
Farmers staged protests against the government's nitrogen policy at multiple locations in Nijkerk on Monday evening. Dozens of participants drove tractors along the A28 and briefly blocked a bridge at the on and off ramps. The town hall and a company at the Arkerpoort business park were also affected by the protest. As a result, the action spread to various parts of the city in a short time.
The police received a report on Monday evening about a demonstration along the A1 near Holten. Approximately thirty to forty tractors have gathered on the verge of the Parallelweg.
