Erlinson Echavarría, known as Ramiro, commander of the 18th Front of the FARC dissidents, was killed during a military operation in the village of El Torrente, a rural area of Ituango, Antioquia. The operation, which involved both air and ground forces, targeted the guerrilla camp.
