FanDuel CEO Amy Howe is out after five years at the sportsbook
FanDuel’s parent company cited U.S. market pressure and a weaker 2026 outlook as it hands leadership to president Christian Genetski.
Flutter Entertainment announced on Wednesday that FanDuel CEO Amy Howe has left the company after five years, with FanDuel president Christian Genetski assuming leadership of the sportsbook.
Forecasting 2026 core profit growth of 4 per cent, Flutter surprised analysts two months ago by citing U.S. market challenges after delivering over 20 per cent growth in each of the previous four years.
Flutter CEO Peter Jackson plans to invest $300 million in FanDuel Predicts, telling Reuters, "It's no secret that FanDuel has underperformed, but looking forward, we've got to get the right team in place."
Shares of FanDuel parent company Flutter fell roughly 2.5% in afternoon trading on Wednesday as investors sold off gaming stocks amid competition from prediction markets and inflation concerns.
Leading the sportsbook since 2021, Howe championed responsible gaming initiatives, refusing NIL deals with college athletes, as Flutter navigates an increasingly competitive U.S. betting landscape under new leadership.
