FAIR Welcomes Trio of Veteran Attorneys to Litigation Team

On Jan. 14, 2026, the Federation for American Immigration Reform announced it named Edwin Pieters, Denise Hinds and John Miano as Of Counsel from Washington.
To bolster enforcement efforts, FAIR said the hires strengthen its capacity to enforce the rule of law and challenge sanctuary policies that obstruct federal immigration enforcement.
With more than thirty years in federal and territorial courts, Denise Hinds served as a federal Immigration Judge and Deputy Criminal Chief, while Edwin Pieters held roles as a federal Immigration Judge and assistant district attorney.
