For some time now, Meta has been offering American Facebook users the ability to tap directly into their smartphone's photo gallery to suggest AI-powered edits to their images. The fear is that Meta will take advantage of this to train its AI on photos that haven't been actively shared on the social network.
A new option, in the test phase, asks Facebook users to access the film of their phone to automatically suggest versions modified by the AI of their photos. A feature that also concerns the pictures that have not yet been downloaded to the screen.
