It was a steamy hot day in the Quinte region Sunday but the high temperature record for the date was missed by just a fraction of a degree. According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the mercury climbed to exactly 32 degrees celsius at 2 p.m. The record for a June 22 is 32.2 degrees, set in 1941 during the Second World War.
