Police in Amroha have busted a gang that extorted money by threatening to implicate people in fake rape cases. A case has been filed against a sub-inspector posted in Hapur, a Public Relations Department (PRD) soldier, a woman, and other associates. Police arrested four accused, including the woman, and recovered 20,000 rupees in cash and a mobile phone, while the accused sub-inspector remains at large.
