Four years after the opinion of the public commission of inquiry was unfavourable, IDFM reopened the file of the extension of line 1 of the metro to Val-de-Fontenay (Val-de-Marne). A new consultation was launched, but the opposition was already organised among the defenders of the Vincennes wood.
Suspended in December 2022, the project to extend metro 1, between the Château de Vincennes and Val de Fontenay, has resurfaced this summer.
