Exact Sciences’ cancer-detecting blood tests could be covered by Medicare under new federal law

The new federal law enables Medicare to fund Exact Sciences' cancer screening tests, which could expand access to early detection for millions of beneficiaries, the company said.

Exact Sciences’ Cancerguard, a blood-based early detection test, is not covered by insurance and costs patients $689 out of pocket. But future Medicare coverage could change that.
