- Joseph Badio, a former Haiti Ministry of Justice employee, was brought into court and charged with conspiracy for allegedly posing as a U.S. drug agent during the killing.
- Prosecutions moved to the United States because proceedings in Haiti "continue to face significant difficulties," the Ministry of Justice and Public Security said, citing gang violence and judge resignations.
- Prosecutors have charged more than 40 people with crimes related to the assassination, with Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a Florida pastor who authorities said aspired to be president, scheduled for trial next week.
