Evri Driver Sacked After Missing Parcel Complaints
Evri confirmed the courier is dismissed after CCTV showed staged deliveries and missing parcels, part of a wider issue in Netherton during a busy Christmas season.
Neighbours' amateur sleuthing found CCTV and community Facebook page footage showing an Evri courier appearing to walk away with parcels in Netherton, Merseyside, prompting alerts to the Liverpool Echo.
On November 17, residents including Chloe Harrison-King, 22, and Sharon Woodford, 44, received delivery confirmation photos showing parcels outside doors, yet the packages were missing.
Video captured by residents' doorbell cameras reveals an Evri courier placing parcels on doorsteps, photographing them without knocking or ringing doorbells, then picking the packages back up and leaving.
The company noted its scale and response, stating 'Every parcel matters to us. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour of this kind.'
Residents warned that at this time of year, Sharon Woodford, 44, from Netherton, ordered an £80 bracelet for her daughter and niece, both 13, which went missing.
