While European markets rose across the board on hopes of easing US-Iran tensions, Wall Street was pressured by falling technology stocks and cautious sentiment ahead of the election. Asian stocks mostly declined as technology stocks came under pressure. US stocks were heavily pressured as Alphabet shares plunged more than 12%. Global stocks edged higher after the Fed's interest rate decision.
