In a joint statement, French, Italian, German, Finnish and Polish leaders, along with European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen, wrote that 'international borders must not be changed by force.'
The US and Russia will hold a summit on the 15th, expected to discuss how to end the Russo-Ukrainian war. The EU, concerned that the US and Russia might decide Ukraine's fate without the consent of Europe and Ukraine, plans to demand that the US protect Ukrainian territory during a video conference between US and EU leaders tomorrow, chaired by German Chancellor Melz.
European leaders have issued a warning against the violent change of Ukrainian borders, two days before a US-Russian summit in Alaska.
