The European Commission proposes to introduce new sanctions against Russia that, for the first time, also affect Russian fish exports.

For the first time, the European Commission (EC) proposed to ban the entry into EU countries of SVO veterans, as well as a total ban on the import of Russian cod and several other fish products, as reported by the EC Head, Ursula von der Layen, presenting the 21st package of sanctions, which has yet to be unanimously approved by the EU Council.
