In view of the deteriorating security situation, the European Union's maritime security operation ASPIDES has increased the readiness level of its ships in the Red Sea, while continuing to carry out its escort duties, said Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in a post published on X on Friday.
"Given the deteriorating security situation, the European Union Operation Shield has raised the alert level of its ships, while continuing its escort missions," said Kaia Kalas.
