The arrival in Geneva of high-ranking Russian officials under sanctions arouses the anger of Russian opponents from Switzerland and elsewhere. An open letter addressed to Swiss parliamentarians has been signed by more than 200 people and requests an investigation for violation of the Criminal Code.
The tensions between Russia and the European states have increased these days, during a parliamentary conference held in Geneva, after several European delegates left the hall at the time of the arrival of Valentine Matveniko, a high-level official from Russia.
