The European Commission is finalising a loan agreement with Polish authorities under the SAFE defence programme, aiming to disburse an advance payment as early as April, spokesman Thomas Regnier said on Friday.
The European Commission hopes that Poland will make use of the EU loan for defense projects, which the country itself applied for.
