EU capitals have not been able to extend a package of sanctions against Russia for months, five European diplomats for Politics said. Three of them said that EU ambassadors will meet again today for further talks.
The post-EU countries on Monday have not yet been able to agree on an extension of sanctions against Russia, which will expire on Tuesday, reporting to the Policy with reference to sources.
EU ambassadors can still pester each other today to reach an agreement. If they fail, some of the sanctions will expire.
