The European Parliament (EP) on Tuesday adopted legislation aimed at strengthening the European Union's (EU) defence industry, promoting joint European defence procurement, expanding the production of defence products and increasing support for Ukraine.
The EU Parliament has adopted a programme to strengthen European defence. Initially, a total budget of EUR 1.5 billion is planned for the EDIP programme, which will expand, among other things, the production and supply chains of armaments.
