The secret service has improved its structures, but the most explosive question remains: Was it espionage?
A new administrative investigation shows how much the work of the NDB has suffered from the cyber affair. However, there is no new evidence about the espionage accusations.
The investigation of the former cyber department of the Federal Intelligence Service (NDB) does not provide any new reliable evidence of political espionage or extensive data erasure. However, the previous contacts with Kaspersky will continue to be investigated by the Swiss Federal Prosecutor's Office.
An external law firm concludes that the intelligence service has "in principle" implemented the recommendations of previous investigations. Open questions on cooperation with Kaspersky are further investigated by the Federal Prosecutor's Office.
