President Tufan Erhürman of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus announced that United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had proposed the demining of Cyprus, starting from the buffer zone, and that while the Turkish side accepted the proposal, the leader of the Greek Cypriot Administration, Nikos Christodoulides, had rejected it.
