Energy Vault and Eskom signed a deal to build a 25-MW, 100-MWh gravity energy storage system at Hendrina Power Station in Mpumalanga. The project will use Energy Vault’s EVx 2.0 technology and could scale up to 4 GW at the site. The partners plan to co-develop up to 4 GWh of storage across Southern Africa by 2035.
