Elmbridge Borough Council has submitted a revised planning application for the Mill Road depot in Esher.
The authority wants to remove restrictions on HGVs on some roads to make it easier for them to get to the centre. But residents raised concerns about an increase in traffic to the site which is near two schools. The council says changes need to take place because demand for waste, recycling and street cleaning services has grown since 2016. The new application can be viewed on the council’s website.
