ElevenLabs' Valuation Doubles to $22 Billion on Surging AI Voice-Agent Demand
The tender gave employees and shareholders liquidity as agent usage topped 15 million conversations a week, the company said.
- On Wednesday, London-based ElevenLabs completed a $300 million employee tender offer, valuing the AI voice generation startup at $22 billion, doubling its February valuation.
- Wellington Management and T. Rowe Price led the deal, which allows employees and existing shareholders to sell stock for liquidity without raising new capital from the previous $11 billion valuation.
- ElevenLabs now handles more than 15 million conversations weekly, with enterprise customers generating 55% of revenue; clients include Stripe, Deutsche Telekom, and governments of Ukraine and Greece.
- The company opened a Brussels office and hired a finance chief who previously took Adyen public; CEO Mati Staniszewski said, "We're already seeing rapid adoption of expressive voice agents by enterprises and governments."
- Staniszewski aims to prepare the startup for a stock market listing within two to two and a half years, using the tender offer to retain researchers competing against larger AI companies.
