Elding Goal Cancelled Out, Celtic Fight Back to Beat Hibs
Camilo Durán’s 10th goal of the season sealed Celtic’s comeback, while Hibernian’s winless league run stretched to seven matches.
Celtic defeated bottom-side Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road on Sunday, with Camilo Duran scoring the decisive goal to maintain a four-point lead atop the Scottish Premiership.
Storm Boelo brought 85mph gusts to Edinburgh, creating chaotic conditions where Hibs took an early lead through Owen Elding before Jason Kerr's own goal four minutes later levelled the match.
Substitute Alistair Johnston lasted only 21 minutes after returning from injury, while forward Kasper Hogh drew a blank before being replaced in the 64th minute.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill hailed the result as the "biggest of the season," while Hibs head coach Marink Reedijk suffered a third consecutive defeat with his side rooted to the foot of the table.
Hibs travel to St Mirren on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, as Celtic maintain their four-point advantage over Rangers at the Scottish Premiership summit.
