Dresden/Chengdu, January 16, 2026. The Elbe aircraft plants (EFW) from Dresden have signed the first major contract for China: On Wednesday, the airline delivered the eighth cargo aircraft to their customer Air China Cargo. The Elbe aircraft plants have delivered the eighth and last converted Airbus A330-200 freighter to Air China Cargo. The company announced that the passenger machines were planned in Dresden and rebuilt at Ameco in Chengdu. The first major order in China has thus been completed after about two years. Ameco is the maintenance company of Air China and has been cooperating with EFW since July 2022.
