Eight People Arrested in Connection with Ravalli County Child Sex Trafficking Operation
The three-day operation targeted child sex trafficking and led to charges including sexual abuse of children and prostitution of a child, officials said.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton announced the arrest of eight adult males following a three-day child sex trafficking operation in Ravalli County this week, with suspects charged under Sexual Abuse of Children and Prostitution of a Child statutes.
Holton credited the operation's success to training and support from The Valor Coalition and partnerships with Missoula County Sheriff Jeremiah Peterson and Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter, with Detective Sergeant Jeremy Reichert serving as Incident Commander.
The arrested men are residents of Hamilton, Missoula, Kalispell, Alberton, Pablo, and Bonner, each facing charges in violation of 45-5-625 MCA and 45-5-601 MCA for alleged Sexual Abuse of Children or Prostitution of a Child.
"With the full support of Ravalli County Attorney Bill Fulbright and his Office, we want to send the message that people who want to commit these horrible crimes against our kids will be arrested and prosecuted," Holton said.
Holton also thanked Fulbright, Chief Deputy Attorney Angela Auch, and District Court Judge Jennifer Lint for their commitment to removing child predators from communities and protecting residents.
