Egypt officially launched a new megaproject, the city's exclusive city in the heart of the desert, along an artificial channel drawn from the Nile River in western Cairo, informs AFP, captured by Agerpres.
The project will include luxury residences, 80-storey skyscrapers, international universities and hospitals, an ecological hotel, commercial areas, and a cultural and media district.
Egypt is going to build a new city with 2.5 to 3 million homes west of the capital Cairo and near the pyramids of Giza. A canal with water from the Nile will be built through the city, to also make agriculture possible in the area. It is just one of the many projects that Egyptian President al-Sisi has initiated.
