Cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops in Egypt will close at 9:00 PM and at 10:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, the government in Cairo has decided. This is a result of the energy crisis triggered by the war in the Middle East. The restrictions do not apply to the most popular tourist destinations.
