Ali Mahir Başır, a CHP MP from Mersin, who said the Turkish army had been sold out, faced a protest with eggs in his hometown. Başır, who attended Anamur Mayor Durmus Deniz's rally, was first protested by the group, who were found out to be parties to the city's Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, and then pelted with eggs.
