Ecuador and the United States “concluded substantially” the negotiations and are ready to sign a reciprocal trade agreement in the coming weeks.
The U.S. Trade Representative's Office confirmed that both countries successfully concluded the negotiations.
"This agreement represents a new platform for promoting prosperity; its early entry into force will help expand and diversify bilateral trade and investment for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples," said US trade representative Jamieson Greer in a statement.
