- Nov. 24: Eastern New Mexico University agreed to hire former Baylor head coach Art Briles, marking his return to college football, multiple outlets including ESPN, On3 and Fox 26 reported.
- With a prior professional tie to Briles, athletic director Kevin Fite — who worked with Briles at Houston — announced and welcomed the hire after Kelley Lee was fired on Nov. 17.
