In Austria, consumption of electricity and gas increased at annual intervals in September. The supply of electricity to end customers increased by 1.5 percent to 5.21 terawatt hours (TWh), while gas demand increased by 5.7 percent to 3.86 TWh. This is evident from current data from the regulatory authority E-Control. A sharp fall in hydropower also led to a significant decline in domestic electricity generation.
