(New York, NY) — Mayor Eric Adams says New York City’s war on rats is working with rat sightings reported to 3-1-1 down eight straight months. It was eight months ago the city’s residential garbage containerization requirements went into effect. So far about 75 percent of garbage in the city is required to be containerized.
