New Law Bans Cell Phone Use in Class
Students will no longer be allowed to use a cell phone in class by law starting in the fall. Governor Eric Holcomb has signed a bill from the state Senate that teachers hope will have a positive effect on students. Phones would be allowed if they are part of a lesson and can be used in an emergency such as a school shooting.
The mobile phone ban has yet to be approved by parliament.
A complete ban will apply to pupils of the first to third grades of primary schools. He also explained how it would be for the others.
