The utility said five substations were hit, with the UN warning that attacks on power infrastructure threaten services for millions.
On Monday, a drone strike hit a market in Nyala, Darfur, killing 21 people and wounding at least 40 others, according to witnesses and a medical source; the city serves as the de facto capital for the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
Sophisticated drone strikes have become the primary method of warfare for both the Army and the RSF, killing dozens of civilians at a time across the country.
Targeting the Al-Markhiyat transformer station on Tuesday, RSF militia drones disrupted power supplies across large parts of Khartoum and Al-Jazira states, a national electricity company source told AFP.
Sudan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday insisted the country's food security was "reassuring," attempting to "refute claims of famine" after 30 countries including the United States warned urgent action was necessary.
The ongoing war has killed more than 200,000 people and triggered the world's largest hunger and displacement crises, as the United Nations repeatedly warns that infrastructure attacks threaten essential health services for millions.
