- In recent months, the RSF has launched drone strikes on humanitarian convoys and fuel trucks across North Kordofan, amid ongoing conflict with the Sudanese army, aid officials say.
- The attack burned trucks and destroyed aid, medical trackers said, while in Um Rawaba three drones struck a transport truck and fuel tanker and strikes hit the key road linking el-Obeid with Kosti.
- The Sudan Doctors Network urged an independent investigation, calling the attack a "blatant violation of international humanitarian law," while the North Kordofan state government and Washington demanded sanctions and accountability.
- The UN estimates show over 21 million Sudanese face acute food insecurity, with nearly 11 million displaced and over 14 million forced from homes, amid ongoing conflict and attacks on aid.
