Drivers returning to Cable Beach after closure asked to watch for turtle hatchlings

Summary by Ground News
The main access ramp to Broome's Cable Beach was closed to motorists between December 1 and January 31 to allow turtles to nest and hatch without vehicle interference. It's the second year the ramp has been shut for an entire two months after the Broome Shire voted unanimously in favour of the restrictions in 2022. Authorities are now warning returning motorists to be on the lookout for baby flatback turtles on the move.
