Woman rescued from South Santiam River near Yukwah - The New Era

The driver of a truck that ran off Hwy. 20 into the rain-swollen South Santiam River was rescued Saturday morning near Milepost 48, west of Yukwah Campground.  Passersby stopped to aid the woman, including two men whom bystanders said were paramedics, who got the victim out of the truck.
