Train Slams Into FedEx Truck in Hill County Injuring 2

- The crash occurred near State Highway 81 and County Road 4148 north of Itasca around 2 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Safety .
- SKY 4 video showed the Union Pacific train pushing the FedEx truck down the tracks after impact. Passenger Sheldon Gutierrez-Rangel of Dallas died Friday from his injuries, while the driver remains in critical condition.
- Hill County Emergency Management closed State Highway 81 south of FM Road 67 in all directions following the collision. FM Road 67 west of State Highway 81 also remained closed.
- During emergency response operations, a firefighter suffered a heat-related illness and required medical treatment, the Hill County Sheriff's Office said. Union Pacific stated the incident remains under investigation.
