New SMC president to start in April

DOWAGIAC — Dr. Klint Pleasant, appointed as president on Dec. 29 by the Southwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees, is on track to assume his new responsibilities in April 2026, subject to contract approval slated for February.

Dr. Klint Pleasant scheduled to start as SMC President in April

Dr. Klint Pleasant will officially start his position as the new president of Southwestern Michigan College in April. SMC announced early this month its board of trustees offered the job to Pleasant, who is currently the senior vice president and special assistant to the president at Rochester Christian University in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
