SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Dozens of students across San Diego County are in the running to be named a National Merit Scholar, an honor that comes with a scholarship. In fact, 191 students in the region were listed among more than 16,000 semifinalists. If chosen, they will receive $2,500 in funds to help with pursuing a higher education.
