Donald Trump is "hero of the world," says Bondi Beach's Ahmed al Ahmed

- On Wednesday, Ahmed al Ahmed arrived in New York for further treatment and a second opinion on injuries, praising U.S. President Donald Trump and saying he wished to meet him.
- The December 14 attack at Bondi Beach involved a father-and-son team Australian authorities said were inspired by ISIS; Ahmed al Ahmed leapt from behind a parked car, disarmed Sajid Akram and was shot, requiring several surgeries.
- Naveed Akram faces 59 charges including terrorism, 15 counts of murder and 40 counts of causing grievous bodily harm, while Sajid Akram, 50, was shot dead by Australian police at the scene.
- After arriving for treatment, Ahmed al Ahmed told CBS News, `My soul and all my everything in my organ, in my body, in my brain, asked me to go, and to defend and to save innocent life.`
