The Russian Ministry of Defence has prepared a draft decree which introduces a new procedure for retaining part of the lump sum paid to members of the armed forces when concluding a contract if they were convicted of a crime while in service.

In Russia, it may begin to take payments from the convicted persons. This is mentioned in the draft law (ID Draft: 170876), which reviewed the SVTV News Revision. Changes will be made to the "one-time payment rules" which Mishustin approved at the end of 2022 (Government Decision No. 2278 of 9 December 2022), a similar list which was adopted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
