Film to shed light on the tragic story of 2,000 Jewish children from Spain who, after their families fled to Portugal in 1492 following the Edict of Expulsion, were forcibly kidnapped by Portuguese King Dom João II.
The Jewish Community of Porto and the Hispanic Jewish Foundation today announced the joint production of the documentary “The 2,000 Spanish Jewish children kidnapped”, which premiered in May and which will shed light on that sad episode of the flight of Sephardic children to Portugal by King John II.
