Delaware DNREC has announced it will hold a community meeting about new hunting regulations related to chronic wasting disease on Sept. 16. The meeting will be in the auditorium of Delaware Technical Community College Owens Campus in Georgetown at 6:30 p.m.

Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has announced an upcoming meeting to explain temporary regulations put in place to limit Chronic Wasting Disease in deer.

DNREC will hold a community meeting regarding Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and the temporary regulations recently put in place affecting the 2026-27 deer hunting season Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Delaware Technical Community College Owens Campus in Georgetown. A virtual option is also available and public comment can be made live either in person or via Microsoft Teams.
