The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is investigating the release of copper near Garner following a broken pipe at the Zinpro facility earlier today. At approximately 7 a.m., the DNR was notified of a broken pipe that resulted in the release of an estimated 700 gallons of copper-containing liquid. The material then flowed into an on-site storm drain, ultimately discharging into a drainage ditch located on the west side of the facility.…
